IBM Corporation adopts Omega PLUS for electromagnetic compatibility
verification and analysis

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, March 2, 2001 - Quantic EMC Inc. announced today that IBM, the industry’s most advanced developer and manufacturer of information technologies, including computer systems, software, networking systems, storage devices and microelectronics has purchased Omega PLUS, Quantic’s Signal Integrity and EMC simulation software for high-speed design verification and analysis. IBM will implement the Omega PLUS leading edge SI and EMC technology at its Poughkeepsie and Rochester locations. EMC engineers from these divisions will work closely with Quantic to further advance the software.

Following an extensive assessment of industry offerings, IBM’s EMC managers chose Omega PLUS as a support tool to improve their PCB designs prior to prototyping. Omega PLUS allows IBM’s product development teams to integrate EMC testing early on in the physical board design process. This results in higher quality products, fewer laboratory tests and reduced time-to-market.
